Having found a loophole in immigration law which was heretofore used to keep ne'er-do-wells out of Conroe, Lefty, accompanied by his girlfriend/attorney, the Cascade Kitchen Counselor, appeared for the first time in years at a Conroe drinking establishment only to find new rules in effect...
Says Lefty: "This is becoming a totalitarian state where freedom of expression is only a memory...I came here, pen in one hand and zipper in the other, to leave some poetry on the wall...And what do I find, but Big Brother and his surveillance camera!..."
The CKC had this to say while lodging a formal complaint against the Conroe Bar Association which has jurisdiction over spycams in bar toilets: "What I don't understand is why the men's room camera is mounted on the ceiling and the women's restroom cameras are all under the toilet seats...What's up with that?..."
Meanwhile, Conroe police report that the loophole through which Lefty and the CKC got into Conroe has been found in one of the perimeter fences and repaired...City council will debate a bond issue next week to electrify the fence...
